“Detailed Analysis: Bacteria and fungi in tumors were examined to understand their role in cancer immunity and prognosis.
Microbiome and Immunity: Tumors with high immunity exhibit a greater microbial richness compared to those with low immunity, highlighting a significant correlation between the microbiome and immune response.
Prognostic Value: The tumor-resident microbiome has demonstrated crucial prognostic value across all types of cancer, suggesting that microbial composition can influence treatment outcomes.
nnovative Web Platform (TCMbio): The Cancer Microbiota (TCMbio), an interactive platform, has been developed to provide detailed data on intratumoral bacteria and fungi. It includes a comprehensive analysis module for 33 types of cancer, facilitating access to critical information and accelerating microbial analysis.
This study has revealed the clinical and prognostic importance of intratumoral microbes, opening new avenues for cancer research and treatment.”
