“Each day, about 60 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. So, those such as Tony Keith and others who launched this annual event have raised thousands of dollars to help fight it.
“We started Teal We Find a Cure because I lost my late wife, Tracy Keith, to ovarian cancer in 2017. Shortly afterward, a group of family, friends, and neighbors decided to start an organization to fund ovarian cancer research,” Keith said.
Teal We Find a Cure is an annual ovarian cancer awareness and research fundraising event. It’s coming up this week in Northern Kentucky. It celebrates the lives of those impacted by ovarian cancer.
“Well, for the last seven or six years, we’ve raised a total of $265,000, but $250,000 of that we’ve given to the new St. Elizabeth Cancer Center,” said Jennifer Hill from Teal We Find a Cure.
“We want to make sure that we get the information out to women about ovarian cancer and its symptoms, so they know what to look for and can find it early instead of waiting until it’s too far advanced,” Jayne Rauh said.”
