Douglas Flora: I joined a room of dedicated women for this year’s American Cancer Society Making Strides campaign

“This morning, I joined a room of dedicated women to hear an inspiring panel discussion kicking off this year’s American Cancer Society Making Strides campaign.
The American Cancer Society believes everyone deserves a chance to live a longer, healthier life free from breast cancer. For 26 years, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has been part of our community, celebrating survivors and raising vital funds for research, advocacy, and services.
A special treat was running into one of my former breast cancer mentors, Dr. Elizabeth Shaughnessy, who has saved thousands of lives with her skills, and trained almost as many of us to care deeply for and about our patients. She is a Cincinnati treasure.
If you or your company would like to be involved in this year’s events, please reach out to me or Hannah Wallace. I’d invite you to get involved—this is a great team supporting critical research and advocacy that helps all of us. Let’s save some lives!”
