“United Steps: A Collaborative Initiative to Raise Awareness for Cancer.
With advancements in diagnosis and treatment, we have significantly improved cancer-related survival rates. However, metastasis and treatment resistance remain major challenges across various types of cancer. It is crucial to raise awareness and encourage regular cancer screenings.
Members from my laboratory (manilab) at the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University, along with Team ‘Six in the City’ Upsilon II Class of Leadership Rhode Island, are organizing another cancer awareness walk on August 3, 2024, at Goddard Memorial State Park.
If you’re in Rhode Island and would like to join us, please meet at the Goddard State Park boat ramp parking lot at 9:00 AM on August 3, 2024. This event is a vital opportunity to raise awareness and support the fight against cancer.”
