Dr. Prebo Barango about the progress towards the 90-70-90 cervical cancer elimination goals by 2030 – Unitaid
shared a post on LinkedIn:
“At AIDS2024, Dr. Prebo Barango from the World Health Organization highlighted the progress towards the 90-70-90 cervical cancer elimination goals by 2030. Despite advances, significant inequities remain in low- and middle-income countries. Cervical cancer, closely linked with HIV, is still a major issue in sub-Saharan Africa.
To close the gap, Dr. Barango recommends focusing on integration of cervical cancer and HIV services, strengthening partnerships across sectors, and leveraging data and innovation to overcome resource challenges and achieve the 90-70-90 targets by 2030.”
