My thanks to President Nana Akufo-Addo, former President Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo and Boma of Africa participants for prioritising biomedical innovation in the continent.
World Health Organization (WHO) will continue supporting all countries in Africa to harness the power of innovation for Health For All.”

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is an important figure in global health leadership. Elected as WHO Director-General in 2017, he made history as the first candidate chosen from multiple contenders by the World Health Assembly.
