”Big news in cancer rehabilitation care!
With the endorsement of WHO’s Package of interventions for rehabilitation, the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) is taking a giant leap forward with its Supportive Care 2030 Movement.
Here’s what you need to know:
- MASCC represents 70+ countries worldwide.
- They’ve set 15 ambitious goals for cancer supportive care by 2030.
- These goals align perfectly with WHO’s Rehabilitation 2030.
Both MASCC and WHO are pushing for:
- Evidence-based practices.
- Patient-centered care.
- Global collaboration.
MASCC officially endorses WHO’s Package of interventions for rehabilitation for cancer! Read further.
The Package of interventions for rehabilitation for cancer:
- Lists evidence-based interventions for rehabilitation for cancer and related required resources with a specific focus on low-to-middle resource settings.
Why it matters:
It supports:
- Countries to integrate rehabilitation for cancer into their health systems.
- The education and training of the rehabilitation workforce in evidence-based rehabilitation for cancer.
- The development of multiprofessional rehabilitation services for cancer at all service delivery levels.
With over 50 million cancer survivors worldwide, quality rehabilitation is crucial at every stage for everyone in need.
