“I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted an invitation from the Louisiana Department of Insurance to join the Louisiana Alternative Funding Program Task Force as one of fifteen members. As the executive director of the Louisiana Oncology Society, I will help studying the impact of alternative funding programs on patient access to affordable prescription drugs.
Our goal is to ensure everyone in Louisiana can get the medications they need. We’ll be putting together our recommendations for the legislation, to the House Committee on Insurance, the Senate Committee on Insurance,
and the David R. Poynter Legislative Research Library before the end of the year.
Looking forward to working with an amazing team including Julie S. Stokes, CPA of Survivor’s Cancer Action Network – SCAN on this important issue!”
