“Thank you, Laura Bray, for hosting an amazing event dedicated entirely to eradicating drug shortages at the Summit One 2024. I was honored to moderate a panel of incredibly smart women about the importance of visibility in the upstream supply chain to identify vulnerabilities that cause disruptions in access to life-saving treatments. .
While this issue begs for an immediate, coordinated response, patients should breathe easy knowing that Marta E. Wosinska, Vimala Raghavendran, and Emily Tucker, are informing policy with data-driven, evidence-based recommendations.
US Pharmacopeia recently released a Drug Shortage Annual report that captures much of the data discussed, check it out here.
