Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center – Yoga therapy – all to nurture his mind, body, and spirit
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center shared on LinkedIn:
“Michael Tyler, 68, successfully in remission, has committed to an extensive health regimen with Sylvester’s Cancer Support Services. His recovery journey has included tailored nutrition, acupuncture, weightlifting, massage, music therapy, and recently, yoga therapy—all to nurture his mind, body, and spirit.
Reflecting on his experience, Michael shares, ‘I typically begin class in pain but always leave feeling better and stronger. I have taken several trips abroad, walking 25,000 steps daily, both up and down hills. I never thought that would be possible again and I owe it all to yoga.’ His newfound strength has enabled him to travel, walking up to 25,000 steps a day—a feat he once thought impossible. ‘I owe it all to yoga,’ he states.
We are immensely proud of Michael and our community of cancer survivors who continue to prioritize their health and recovery. We remain dedicated to supporting our patients every step of the way.”
