It’s #WorldNoTobaccoDay, a day that reminds me of the progress we have made, as well as the work we need to do.
Today at ACMI we reflected on Cancer Council Victoria’s 50 years of anti-tobacco advertising with an exhibition of this advertising on display at ACMI – well worth the visit.
Today’s event launched by Health Minister Mary-Anne Thomas MP reflected on the value of partnership between Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) , Quit and Cancer Council Victoria, and the importance of the work of this partnership in an age of e-cigarettes and the industries that market these dangerous products to young people.
A panel discussion led by Dr Sandro Demaio reflected on the value of communciations, inspired by science, to achieve remarkable remarkable declines in smoking and steep declines in lung cancer.
