Appointment of the new EORTC Board
The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) shared on X:
“We are thrilled to announce the appointment of the new EORTC Board, following our General Assembly on 28 June 2024.

The EORTC introduced four distinguished new members joining the Board:
- Mrs. Caroline Artis, who will serve as the new Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee.
- Dr. Roberto Salgado, joining as a board member.
- Professor Martin van den Bent, taking on the role of Chair of the Protocol Review Committee.
- Dr. Jens Lehmann, who will be contributing as an Early Career Investigator.
Additionally, the EORTC announced that Dr. Etienne Brain and Dr. Mieke Van Hemelrijck have been re-elected for a second term, while Dr. Jean-Pierre Bizzari will now serve as a Special Advisor. The remaining board members will continue in their current roles.
The newly formed Board is set to hold its first meeting in September. Professor W. van der Graaf, the current President, will continue his tenure until June 2026, as approved by the General Assembly, ensuring stability during this period of transition within EORTC’s governance structure.
