Graduates of the Imperial As One Media Academy – The Institute of Cancer Research
The Institute of Cancer Research made the following post on LinkedIn:
“Congratulations to all our graduates from the Imperial As One Media Academy, which provides media training for ethnic minority staff and students.
For the first time, staff and students from the ICR were able to join the programme led by Imperial College London, which covered modules including media interviews, podcasts, blogs, and social media. The most popular workshop amongst the students was the policy session which focused on how to get research heard and find MPs who may be interested in your work.
Aline Tabib-Salazar, Technician Career Pathways Programme Manager at the ICR, who recently completed the programme, shared her experience: “I really enjoyed this course, and I learnt a lot about the different ways to communicate and promote my work. It gave me the confidence to put myself out there and establish my network.”
A huge well done to Aline and the fellow graduates from the course.”
