Denis Wirtz: Bloomberg Philanthropies gives $1B to Johns Hopkins University

Denis Wirtz, Vice Provost of Research at Johns Hopkins University, shared on X:

“Bloomberg Philanthropies gives $1B to Johns Hopkins University.

This gift makes the School of Medicine tuition-free for students from families earning under $300,000, and students from families earning up to $175,000 will receive a full ride, including living expenses.

About 2/3 of Hopkins medical students will benefit, a number that we anticipate will climb thanks to this transformative gift.”
