Children’s Cancer Institute – Thanks to Steggles, we were able to gift two childhood cancer families a once in a lifetime experience
Children’s Cancer Institute shared on LinkedIn:
“There’s no doubt that childhood cancer takes an enormous toll on families. That’s why it always blows us away when families who have already been through so much, choose to throw their support behind us here at Children’s Cancer Institute and advocate for the work our researchers are doing to ensure that families of the future won’t have to face the same battle.
It means so much to us to be able to give back to these amazing families, and we’re so grateful to organisations like Steggles Charity Nest for helping us to do just that.
Thanks to Steggles, we were recently able to gift two childhood cancer families a once in a lifetime experience. The chance to be the Match Day Ball Kid at a Sydney Roosters NRL Match.
Luciano – diagnosed with stage 3 Neuroblastoma when he was just 14 months old – had the chance to deliver the match ball at the recent Roosters vs Wests Tigers match. Luciano’s Mum, Maria said that experiences like this mean the world to him.
And this past weekend, Ashton, who is still undergoing treatment for T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, did an amazing job delivering the ball for the Roosters vs Dragons game.
Ashton’s mum Dominique said ‘Thank you so much to Steggles and the Sydney Roosters for making yesterday happen!
It was an absolutely amazing experience for Ash and he had a blast! It was his first NRL game and he has declared he’s a Roosters supporter now! Our family definitely appreciates all they do for the Children’s Cancer Institute and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.'”
