Zach London: If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.

Zach London M.D, Professor in the University of Michigan Medical School, stated the following on Twitter:

“If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.

Dr. Ali Christy and I are clapping, because today is the release date for Endowed Chairs – Pediatrics, a card game that celebrates the pioneering women in the field of pediatric medicine! http://endowedchairs.com
It’s a sequel to Endowed Chairs – Neurology, but also a stand-alone game. You are the chair of a new peds department, using your department-funded time machine to recruit some of the most badass rockstars in the history of pediatrics – Apgar, Tanner, Taussig and many more.

But the road to glory is rocky. You’ll have to watch out for bad grant reviews, nursing strikes, unfair wage gaps, and other obstacles. If you’re ready to add Endowed Chairs – Pediatrics to your collection, you can get your own copy here: tinyurl.com/2p8st7jk

If you already own the neurology edition and just want the new bits, you can get a more reasonably-priced Pediatrics Expansion Pack, with 12 new luminary cards and 33 new pediatrics tool cards… otoscopes, thermometers, and generic adhesive bandages! tinyurl.com/amwdydvn

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this to fruition, especially Dr. Ali Christy, whose exhaustive research and passion for the history of medicine helped bring these women (back) to life. Read their full biographies at the endowedchairs.com.
And of course, the color scheme of the new luminary cards is (loosely) based on the color of breastfed infant poop around day four of life!
Finally, we apologize to our friends in the UK/AU/NZ. Here is our attempt at an updated logo that uses your preferred term.
So! Who is up for a game night? Share with your pediatrics friends, if you’re cool enough to have any.”
