“Fantastic day in Milan yesterday, filming our first CME TV episode in breast cancer at European Institute of Oncology
(IEO).
Huge thank you to Prof Giuseppe Curigliano and Prof Nicola Fusco for sharing your insights on molecular-guided treatment in HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer, and to Sharon Thomas for hosting such wonderful interviews.
A big thank you as well to the incredible Medscape team who made it all possible – Phil Muri, Eloise Ballard, Quirine Conijn and Sarah Waterhouse.
Our studio was set up in an empty room in the hospice. I found myself drawn to the beautiful light reflected on the wall and couldn’t help thinking that it reflected what so many people in oncology are working towards: bringing a little more light where there is uncertainty.
I’m feeling hopeful. I hope that, by the time someone stays in that room again, advances in research and precision oncology will mean better treatments, better quality of life, and that their final days are more peaceful, more comfortable, and filled with dignity.”
