Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, UICC President Elect, Senior Adviser at Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria, shared on X:
“A short recap of some aspects of the World Cancer Congress. I am only just getting around to sharing some reflections because we really packed a lot into those 3 days in Hong Kong.
My responsibilities at both UICC and MedicaidCFPrograms, filled my time with meetings and non stop networking.
Also, having a booth with World Ovarian Cancer Coalition in the Global Village allowed us to showcase the work Medicaid Cancer Foundation does and engage partners about our flagship event, Walk Away Cancer.
The Global Village was a very busy place, filled with organisations, professionals and advocates from across the world. It also hosted the rapid fire sessions and spotlight stage.
It was a pleasure to meet and greet many candidates for the president elect and new board of directors. Wishing you all the best of luck!
To everyone who stopped by our booth, shared their stories or discussed ways we could work with one another, thank you. I appreciate every conversation and the connections we made.
Now, it is time to turn the talk into action that will benefit cancer patients.”
