“The United Nation General Assembly (UNGA80) Science Summit opened today with the Global Health Connector Event, convened by the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR), and the United Nations, under the theme- “Transforming Women’s Health through Science & Sustainable Partnerships”
I spoke on the panel ‘Translating Innovation Across Borders’, moderated by Nicole Althaus alongside Dr. Antonella Santuccione Chadha (Women’s Brain Foundation) Zina Mani, (Innopathwayz, LLC), and Delali A. Attipoe, (Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi)).
The discussion focused on advancing women’s health through cross-border innovation and sustainable solutions. Speaking from an LMIC perspective, I focused on the need to have research models that mandate inclusion based on geographical and ancestral origin. Implementation science is another weak area the global south can improve.”
