William Dale, Professor and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs at City of Hope, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I just returned from Schaffhausen, Switzerland from the Rising Tide Group Clinical Cancer Research Board meeting. I’m honored to be helping advise the Foundation on their investments in those aspects of cancer research that too often go unsupported: de-escalation, repurposing of drugs, GeriOnc, and supportivecare.
They are really stepping up when others are stepping back!
I also spent time with one of my City of Hope mentors, Dr. Steven Rosen, a true Giant of Cancer research. Every time, I learn from him, Wendy Selig , Alex Alancar, and so many others is such a highlight.
Getting to visit the Rising Tide Group HQ, where the magic happens, was awesome. The restored 600 yo building really gives perspective on building for the long run. Seeing the awesome Rhinefalls, the largest of its kind in Europe, up close was amazing.
Until next time! Thank you!”
