Wei Zhang, Director of the Center for Cancer Genomics and Precision Oncology, Hanes and Willis Family Professor in Cancer at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, Wake Forest University School of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“While organizing some old piles of stuff by my bed, I found this magazine by Wake Forest School of Medicine Alumni in 2021 with a story highlighting a research publication led by my colleague and collaborator, Peiqing Sun, and me that KMT2C/D are directly involved in DNA repair.
Subsequent studies showed that mutations of the genes are indicators for better response to PARPi and immunotherapy in lung cancer. Quite a few publications in the last couple of years have validated our findings. We hope we will be able to continue our research on this translational research with NCI support!”
