Wee Joo Chng: A Privilege to Partner with Our Patients Through Their Cancer Journey

Wee Joo Chng, Vice President of Biomedical Science Research at the National University of Singapore and Group Director of Research Office at the National University Health System of Singapore, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“As a blood cancer specialist, it is a real privilege to be able to partner with our patients through their cancer journey. While the physical discomfort from the cancer, and treatment is real, it is often the emotional and psychological aspects of cancer that is most challenging. While better treatment is prolonging cancer patients’ lives, the emotional challenges also extends longer.

I am glad that these challenges are highlighted in an article published in Straits Times today and I was able to contribute to article. The resilience of our patients is inspirational, and we hope their stories can also inspire and motivate others.
