“Through VOICES, funding is helping community organizations show up in moments that truly matter.
In Atlanta, My Style Matters, Inc. used grant support to expand outreach, train 18 VOICES Ambassadors, and connect with more than 1,000 individuals through education and resources. Their efforts have also extended their reach through digital engagement.
At a recent community event, a woman shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer but did not fully understand her diagnosis and was considering delaying care. The My Style Matters team took time to walk her through what it meant, answer her questions, and provide guidance on next steps. By the end of the conversation, she felt informed and ready to move forward. Her friend, impacted by that moment, chose to enroll in VOICES.
This is the impact of VOICES. It equips trusted community leaders with the resources to educate, support, and drive meaningful participation.
