Valerie Yang: Excited to Work on How ATLAS Project Can Synergise With EORTC

Valerie Yang, Senior Medical Oncologist at OncoCare Cancer Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn by Winan van Houdt, Surgical Oncologist at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, adding:

“Grateful to be invited to this wonderful, close-knit meeting in Lyon, France, to present our collective effort from Asia.

Super pumped to work on how we at the ATLAS project – Asian Clinical Trials Network for Cancers Project can synergise with EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer, since our goals very much align. We now think beyond the traditional approach, and some sensible plans are already in the works. Small steps, big impact. And always much to learn together.

Fantastic leadership from Winan van Houdt, who also summarized the spirit of the meeting so well in his post below.

Thank you, Winan, ATLAS, and the whole team for the friendship and opportunity!

See you all at the Connective Tissue Oncology Society Annual Meeting in November.”

Quoting Winan van Houdt‘s post:

“Coming back from chairing a very fruitful EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer soft tissue and bone sarcoma group (STBSG) meeting at the institute Leon Berard in Lyon, France. Several new trials are being developed in an enthusiastic group of European sarcoma key opinion leaders, together with patient advocates, EORTC headquarters staff, and our visiting friends from The Asian Clinical Trials Network for Cancers Project (ATLAS Project), Tom Chen, Shintaro Iwata, Valerie Yang, and others.

Many thanks to my fellow group officers and hosts, Armelle Dufresne, Silvia Stacchiotti Jean Yves Blay.

Next meeting will be in Oslo, April 23-24, 2026, hosted by Kjetil Boyle.”
