Ulrika Årehed Kågström, President of Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared on LinkedIn:
“Global cancer cases are projected to rise by 29 per cent by 2035, reaching 26.5 million cases a year.
At the same time, inequities in prevention, early diagnosis and treatment remain stark, while advances in research and technology are creating new opportunities to improve cancer prevention and care.
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)’s new strategy sets out how we can respond to this changing landscape and work together for better cancer control worldwide.
I encourage you to read the strategy and see how UICC plans to turn ambition into action.
