“Very excited to see this in print. Our latest commentary highlighting the ‘missing piece of the puzzle’ in neuroendocrine neoplasm classification, published in Med Cell Press.
NENs are classified based on morphology, site of origin, and Ki-67 proliferation indices. These complicated classification systems often fail to capture outcome diversity in NENs. We highlight the need for individual molecular tumor portraits as a cornerstone of diagnostic/treatment paradigms in NENs.
