Tunch Akmandor: What Makes Conferences Truly Valuable?

Tunch Akmandor, Clinical Intern and PhD in Cancer Immunotherapy at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What makes conferences truly valuable?

For me, it is not only the presentations and posters. It is the people, conversations, and unexpected connections that shape future collaborations.

Really enjoyed attending Medicine 2026 Royal College of Physicians meeting inspiring clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across multiple specialties .

Grateful for the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from institutions across the UK including Thushani Anuththara, Sripradha Srinivasan, Timothy B., Mustafa Hussein Ajlan Al-jarshawi, Yashwanth Suresh Babu and many more..

One of the best parts of conferences is realising how interdisciplinary modern medicine has become some of the most interesting discussions happen outside the lecture hall.

Looking forward to future collaborations and staying connected with many brilliant people met this week.”
