Trudy Oliver: Understanding SCLC and Neuroendocrine Tumors Through Basal Cell Lineage

Trudy Oliver, Professor at Duke University, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Our work suggests basal cells of origin more accurately explain the phenotypes of human SCLC and probably many other human cancers with neuroendocrine and tuft-like subsets. Lineage tracing is identifying new pathways driving plasticity to these states and these new basal-derived models are being used to test new therapies.”
