Tricia Hernandez: Spaces for Young Adults Living with Cancer at CancerCon 2026

Tricia Hernandez, Director, Community Engagement at Blood Cancer United, shared on LinkedIn:

“There are spaces I never realized could or would exist one day when I was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Spaces where young adults moving through every conceivable cancer experience come together to support and learn from one another and from experts in supportive care, but more than anything to connect with someone who gets it in a way no one else could.

I am so incredibly grateful to have spent this time at Stupid Cancer’s CancerCon 2026. There were hugs and tears and hugs and cheers and more hugs. Watching Alison Silberman recognize a lifetime of AYA supportive work and advocacy by Blood Cancer United’s Karen DeMairo was a highlight.”
