Tomislav Mihaljevic, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cleveland Clinic, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This year, VeloSano – Cleveland Clinic‘s movement to fund lifesaving cancer research – raised $14.5 million toward that noble goal. Since its inception in 2014, VeloSano has raised more than $95 million for cancer research at Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Children’s, supporting more than 260 research projects.
A world without cancer is only possible through innovative research. And innovative research is only possible through the generous support of grand ideas.
This year, VeloSano – Cleveland Clinic’s movement to fund lifesaving cancer research – raised $14.5 million toward that noble goal. Since its inception in 2014, VeloSano has raised more than $95 million for cancer research at Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Children’s, supporting more than 260 research projects.
More than 4,000 participants in the annual Bike to Cure and Trike and Bike events, as well as 30,000-plus donors who made direct contributions or legacy gifts, came together for this year’s funding success.
To every participant, volunteer, donor, partner and dedicated cancer researcher, I offer a heartfelt thank you. Your dedication is making a real difference in our fight against cancer.
