Todd Harper, CEO at Cancer Council Victoria, shared a post on LinkedIn by Bicycle Network, adding:
“I am delighted to be returning to Around the Bay in 2026 to help fund lifesaving cancer research, cancer prevention and cancer support programs.
Not only is cycling a great way to connect with people and improve fitness, but physical activity can also prevent some cancers and reduce the risk of cancer recurring.
Thank you to everyone participating in this year’s United Energy Around the Bay who is fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria.
A big thank you also to the team at Bicycle Network for their work to create and sustain this iconic cycling event.”
Quoting Bicycle Victoria’s post:
“Bicycle Network is excited to welcome Cancer Council Victoria as an official charity partner for United Energy Around the Bay 2026.
Cancer Council Victoria is the only charity in the state working across all cancers, at every stage, from life-saving research and prevention to support – a vital role, given that almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. If you’re riding this year’s United Energy Around the Bay, consider fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria.
