“Today we launch Australia’s national quitting platform, quit.org.au. This is a major milestone in empowering people to quit smoking and vaping, by guiding them on a digital journey designed using behaviour change research.
Using digital insights and user behaviour on the platform, quit.org.au can help people whether they smoke, vape or do both, to recommend tailored content, and identify resources and strategies aligned to their needs and relevant to their home state. This includes enhanced versions of the Cost Calculator, Health Effects tool and My Quit Plan, which now cover smoking, vaping and dual use.
Today’s milestone follows more than two years of dedicated work across Cancer Council Victoria on this Australian-government funded project.
