Tamer Refaat, Associate Director of Global Oncology at Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center – Loyola University Chicago, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Excited to participate in the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) Hyperthermia Focus Group meeting in Stockholm, Sweden as a core member of the group.
It was a fantastic exchange of ideas with colleagues from across Europe discussing the evolving role of hyperthermia in cancer care.
Hyperthermia remains one of the most promising — yet still underutilized — treatment modalities in oncology. At Loyola Medicine, we are proud to have a growing and vibrant hyperthermia program, currently serving many patients with recurrent breast cancer, with plans to expand into additional disease sites in the near future.
Very encouraged by the collaborative spirit and exciting opportunities for future international partnerships, education, and research initiatives.
Stay tuned for more to come.”
