“Humbled, Honored and Totally Caught Off-Guard!
My week just got a whole lot brighter! This week I had the privilege to participate and contribute at the The Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) Board meeting in Brussels. I was completely surprised and incredibly grateful to have received an unexpected recognition for my contributions to this amazing organization that is transforming cancer care one conversation at a time.
It is moments like these that reinforce the value of small actions we take and behaviours we show up with every day. While no one likes to do the mundane but sometimes the mundane is what drives the change that truly matters.
While the recognition is deeply appreciated, the real satisfaction comes from knowing the projects we have worked on together are making a tangible difference for people with cancer.
It has been an absolute joy and a pleasure to have worked with a dedicated leadership team and the fantastic staff The Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) these past few years. While this is definitely not a goodbye, I look forward to shaping the future of cancer care and access in partnership with this brilliant organisation.
Meaningful change is built piece by piece, and it often takes a village.
I’m grateful for the tremendous partnership from current and previous Board members Jaap Verweij, Axel Glasmacher, Ruth Plummer, Stefan Symeonides, Catarina Edfjäll, Rosa Giuliani, Fergus Sweeney, Mark Lawler, Katrin Rupalla, Eva Skovlund, Christian K Schneider; the incredible staff at CDDF Giorgia Campagnano, Hyunmin Park, Caroline Marissal, Marjorie Recorbet, Thierry Coppens and the fantastic Industry Platform group that I had the privilege to represent.
Special thanks to my partner in crime Birgit Wolf.”
