Susanna Fletcher Greer Announces Increase of V Scholar Grants to $800K

Susanna Fletcher Greer, Chief Scientific Officer at the V Foundation, shared a post by the V Foundation on LinkedIn, adding:

“In a time when cancer research funding is under tremendous pressure, I’m proud that the V Foundation continues to grow. Beginning in 2026, our V Scholar grants will increase from 600K to 800K, an extraordinary investment in the next generation of cancer researchers.

This increase is possible because of our incredible donors who believe in bold, high-risk, high-reward science. Their generosity ensures that early-career investigators can pursue transformative ideas that bring new hope to cancer patients everywhere.

Every dollar we invest moves us closer to victory over cancer, and this milestone reminds me how powerful that shared commitment can be.”

Quoting The V Foundation‘s post:

“We have some really big news to share with you.

Starting in 2026, the V Scholar Grant, our flagship award for early-career faculty, will increase from $600,000 to $800,000!

Early-career scientists are often the ones with the boldest ideas, and at a stage in their careers when funding is hardest to secure. By raising our support by 25%, we’re increasing their potential to change the future of cancer research.

Learn more from Dr. Kara Coleman, our VP of Research and Grants.”
