“As we bring this year to a close, I find myself reflecting both the state of cancer care globally and the meaningful progress we’ve made at AstraZeneca.
Cancer remains one of the defining health challenges of our time. Millions of patients and families worldwide continue to face this disease with courage and resilience. While we’ve seen remarkable advances in precision medicine and novel therapies, there’s still more to do – particularly in access to innovation, health equity, and improved outcomes for difficult-to-treat cancers. The global oncology community’s collective determination to address these challenges inspires everything we do.
Behind every data point is a patient, a family, a story. That is what drives our sense of urgency and responsibility. The dedication of researchers, clinicians, regulators, advocates, and healthcare professionals worldwide continues to push the boundaries of what’s achievable in cancer care.
As we move into 2026, I’m optimistic about the breakthroughs on the horizon and grateful for the partnerships that make this work possible. To everyone committed to advancing cancer care, and especially my incredible leadership team and the Global Oncology group- thank you for your contributions to this vital mission.
