Sumanta K. Pal: Congratulating Oncology Leaders on Earning the FASCO Distinction

Sumanta K. Pal, Professor and Vice Chair of Academic Affairs, City of Hope, shared The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)’s post on X, adding:

“So many incredible folks on this list – many of whom are treasured friends.

To Shilpa Gupta and Pedro C Barata, now running phase III trials and making sea changes in how we treat genitourinary cancers, congratulations!

To Giuseppe Curigliano, the 2027-2028 ESMO President, congratulations!

To Gregory A. Vidal, who I have exchanged ideas over Lou Malnati’s pizza with at many an ASCO, congratulations!

And to Nazli Dizman, what more can I say! Achieving the FASCO status within your first 3 months as faculty at Dana Farber is an incredible feat and a sign of what’s to come!

Congrats to everyone on this list (Joshua Reuss, Ryan Gentzler, Vijay Chaudhary and everyone else!) and thank you for your commitment to ASCO!”

Quoting The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)’s post:

“Join us in congratulating the following members on earning the Fellows of ASCO (FASCO) distinction last quarter!

We are grateful for their extraordinary volunteer service, dedication, and commitment to ASCO.

Learn more about FASCO distinction.”
