Stéphanie Chatin, Global Patient Affairs Director at Servier, shared on LinkedIn:
“Because the most impactful innovations are not developed for patients alone. They are developed with them.
Today, I am especially proud that our collaboration with the global glioma community has been nominated for the inaugural Prix Galien Patient First Award.
But this recognition is not about an award.
It is about the extraordinary commitment of the 11 patient associations that have worked alongside us throughout this journey.
Together, we have:
- Identified unmet needs
- Shared experiences and insights
- Challenged assumptions
- Co-created initiatives to improve the lives of people affected by glioma
Their contribution goes far beyond feedback.
They help us understand what truly matters to patients and families, and they continuously inspire us to do better.
To the representatives of the Patient Associations that form the Glioma Patient Committee and generously contribute their time, expertise, and lived experiences to improve the glioma journey: Kathy Oliver, Rebecca Mallett, Sarah Rogers, Keiko from JBTA, Bernard Léon, Marcus Cahill-Evans, Dirk Hildebrandt, John from Patiëntenvereniging Hersenletsel.nl, Lia Le Roy, Inês Dias, Maria from AstuceSpain, thank you for your trust, your honesty, your expertise, and your unwavering dedication to the glioma community.
This nomination is a testament to what becomes possible when patients are not simply consulted, but genuinely empowered as partners.
Thank you for showing us the way.”
