Stephane de La Faverie: $15 Million Commitment to Launch Largest Research Initiative for Breast Cancer

Stephane de La Faverie, President and CEO at The Estee Lauder Companies, shared on LinkedIn:

“For more than 30 years, The Estée Lauder Companies has been committed to creating a breast cancer-free world. Now, as diagnoses rise among younger women, we have a responsibility to act with urgency.

To address this critical issue, I’m proud to announce that, together with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), we are launching the largest global research initiative focused on breast cancer in younger women. This work, which will address one of the most underfunded areas of breast cancer research, will be made possible by a $15 million commitment from The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation.

As a company founded by a woman and serving millions of women around the world, this work is deeply rooted in who we are. This commitment also reflects William P. Lauder’s continued dedication to the cause that his mother, Evelyn Lauder, so passionately championed. Her vision continues to inspire our work and this important investment in the future of breast cancer research.

This is a meaningful new chapter in our longstanding partnership with BCRF. We look forward to working with Donna McKay and her team to improve outcomes for generations to come.

Our commitment remains unwavering as we work to end breast cancer.”
