Stacey Tinianov Shares Gratitude for Leaders in Cancer Advocacy

Stacey Tinianov, Executive Director at Advocates for Collaborative Education, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“So hard to describe the feeling when a fellow advocate and cancer survivor, thriver, metavivor shows up at the top of your news feed on a random Thursday morning, but I’m going to settle on using gratitude to best explain that emotion.

Gratitude that advocate efforts and voices are being amplified outside of our community.

Gratitude that modern medicine and supportive care have allowed an amazing human to not only continue to survive but thrive in a way he can give back to others. Gratitude that my community is filled with really amazing human beings.

Kudos Trevor Maxwell and the team he has built at MAN UP TO CANCER.
Whether the message you take from this short article is “get screened” or “men need support too” – know that years of literal blood, sweat, and tears have gone into the forming and growth of an organization designed to improve quality of life and reduce isolation for men dealing with cancer.

I’m not stopping with my advocacy. I’m not stopping with my quest to be cancer free, and I have a lot to do yet.
