APBCS 2026 Welcomes Soehartati Gondhowiardjo as Part of the Summit’s Distinguished Faculty

“We are honoured to welcome Professor Soehartati Gondhowiardjo as part of the distinguished faculty for the 14th Asia-Pacific Breast Cancer Summit (APBCS 2026).

Professor Gondhowiardjo is a Professor and Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology at Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital (RSCM) and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, Jakarta. She is an internationally respected leader in radiation oncology and currently serves as a member of the Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Applications (SAGNA) at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

A pioneering force in regional oncology collaboration, she is the Co-Founder and Past President of the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology (FARO), South-East Asian Radiation Oncology Group (SEAROG), and the Indonesian Radiation Oncology Society (IROS). She also served as Chairman of the National Cancer Control Committee (NCCC) Indonesia from 2014 to 2019, contributing significantly to national cancer policy and strategy.

Her extensive academic work spans multiple disease sites, with particular focus on nasopharyngeal, paediatric, and breast cancers, alongside a strong commitment to improving access to and quality of radiotherapy across Indonesia and the wider region.
