“How do you address cognitive decline in older cancer survivors when age-related impairment and cancer-related cognitive decline overlap?
Up to 35% of cancer survivors experience cancer-related cognitive decline, on top of mild cognitive impairment affecting 12–18% of adults over 60, and the two can compound each other, threatening independence in daily tasks like managing finances. This letter reports on the feasibility of adapting Memory and Attention Adaptation Training, a cognitive intervention, for older adults with both conditions.
