This scoping review highlights the key contribution of nurses across the decision-making process, including involvement in geriatric assessment, multidisciplinary discussions, and patient support before and after consultations.
Barriers such as time, resources, and training remain, while collaboration within multidisciplinary teams was identified as a key enabler.
