Breast Cancer shows up as White on a Mammogram – Breast Density shows up as White also…
Finding Cancer on Mammograms in Dense breasts is often referred to as
‘Looking for a Snow Ball in a Snow Storm … alwsys difficult and sometimes impossible to see’.
If I had been told that I had Dense Breasts, I would absolutely have opted to have additional, essential imaging along with my regular Mammograms. My Breast Cancer would have been found earlier…much earlier.
I could have avoided a Mastectomy and Axillary Node Clearance. I may even have avoided Chemotherapy.
All Women should be appropriately notified about their Breast Density along with their Mammogram results.”
