Calling all final year/second year DrNB/DM medical oncology trainees,
We proudly announce the first iteration of RECAP, a medical oncology postgraduate training program/competition organised by the Department of Medical Oncology, Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
The purpose of this program is to train exam-going and 2nd year medical oncology residents to confidently face their final year practical exam. The practical session will be preceded by an MCQ based theory exam and OSCE session. This will be followed by an “answer discussion” session to help elaborate and breakdown core concepts in oncology.
The top five performers in the theory section will be tasked to present a clinical case each from the commonly presented sites. We have brought on board a team of esteemed examiners from across the country. They will enumerate important aspects of a clinical case presentation from history, examination, workup, and management. There will also be an in-depth grand viva session following the case presentation.
We sincerely hope residents from across the country can take part in this academic feast to boost their confidence and make themselves battle-ready for their final practical exams.
