Ashley Watterson and I are thrilled to be featured on an ad at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Longwood Campus promoting this year’s Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana-Farber on October 4! For the 13th consecutive year (Ashley’s 10th!), I’ll be lacing up to raise funds for Dana-Farber’s Young Adult Program, a truly wonderful program that supports young people (ages 18-40) and their families who are facing cancer.
When I started walking for YAP, and working for Dana-Farber, I was much closer to the young end and now I’m nearly aging out… but I will always feel a special connection to YAP. This group of clinicians and the incredible patients they support, many of whom I’ve worked with and become friends with over the years, have made an indelible impact on me in some of my most formative years as both a communicator and a person.
