Shafin Kalyan: From Test to Treatment – Closing the Last-Mile Gap in Precision Oncology

Shafin Kalyan, Founder at Veridata Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Across the Community Oncology Global Congress, the same operating problem appeared in different clinical language:

From Test to Treatment. Turnaround time. Molecular tumor boards turning genomic results into clinical decisions.

Who Pays for Precision Oncology. Financial navigation. Reimbursement pathways and value-based care.

Navigation as a continuum—from diagnosis and referral through treatment, survivorship, and follow-up. Oral-therapy adherence and the early identification of treatment interruptions.

Building Trust in AI. Validation, clinical governance, and diligence for decision-support and workflow tools.

Taken together, the message was hard to miss: the science is ahead of the rails it runs on.

That validates both sides of the problem we are working on at Veridata.

Precision medicine has a last-mile problem. And closing that gap requires more than automation. The work must remain source-linked, reviewable, and governed, with consequential decisions held by authorized teams.

The pain is felt in community practice. The operating layer has to connect through the labs and health systems already powering the pathway.

Make routine coordination reproducible. Keep consequential decisions human.

Where does test-to-treatment break in your organization?
