Dato’ Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, President of the National Cancer Society Malaysia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We have officially onboarded our new GP partners for the Leaving No One Behind (LNOB) 2.0 initiative. Building on the success of LNOB 1.0, which enabled the delivery of nearly 300,000 HPV vaccine doses nationwide, LNOB 2.0 expands our mission to further reduce the burden of cervical and HPV-related cancers in Malaysia.
I was deeply encouraged by the strong show of support from our partners and friends in the medical and public health community, including Datuk Dr Thirunavakarasu Rajoo, President of the Malaysian Medical Association; Sophia Abraham, Associate Director of Policy and Communications at MSD Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei; and Puan Siti Subaidah, Past District Governor of Rotary International District 3300.
What LNOB 2.0 brings forward:
• HPV vaccination for boys and girls aged 9 to 14
• Subsidised access for this age group
• Affordable, community-based vaccination through private GP clinics
• A more sustainable and inclusive protection net for Malaysian families
To our GP partners and the wider medical fraternity, thank you for standing with us. Preventing cancer starts with prevention, and together, we can truly leave no one behind.
Protect our children today.”
