Satish Lubeek, Dermatologist at Radboudumc and Member Working Group Dermato-oncology at the Dutch Association for Dermatology and Venereology (NVDV), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The past couple of days, we both visited our dear colleagues of the Dermatology Department at Ghent University Hospital and attended the annual conference of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG). This year’s conference focused on bridging research and clinical practice in geriatric oncology.
During this conference, we presented some of our research on appropriate dermato-oncologic care in older adults. A special shoutout to PhD student Josje Mangnus for presenting our collaborative work on experiences of patients and proxies after choosing for active surveillance for basal cell carcinoma.
What an inspiring couple of days it has been with a lot of positive energy to bring the field of geriatric oncology forward and to collaborate on optimising the care for older adults with (skin) cancer!
Thank you for the warm welcome and the nice collaboration.”
