“During my first two weeks as Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance’s CEO in 2024 I visited Nigeria to listen and learn, gaining invaluable insights that shaped the Gavi Leap reforms.
This week, I have returned to the country to thank them for this collaboration now that the reforms have been deployed and the principles of country-centricity and sovereignty are placed at the heart of our operating model.
It was humbling to hear Minister of Health and Social Welfare Dr Muhammad Ali Pate say we are ‘seeing the manifestations of the reform.’”
